How long can a ranchu lives?

How long can a ranchu lives? Many years back I read an article of a lady who kept her goldfish for more than a decade. Not sure about ranchu.

I do not know what is actual life span of ranchus but one of my betta friends kept a ranchu for about 7 years before it decided to call it quits.

That's pretty long years and he gave up, maybe many more to go.

I have one that lived almost six years. But we do have some that are over 7 years old at the farm. I think that the way you keep them has a lot to do with their life span.
