Skin Problems on dogs?

The solution is simple, Go Organic and Vegetarian!

Our problem:
Our Rotties were once riddled with very bad skin allergies that came with hair loss & flaky skin. WE tried, over time, a few 'Hollistic' dog food brands to no avail. Shampoo-ing? That's only fur deep. Vets? It was a constant prescription of antibiotics! Come on lah ha, how long do you wanna be feeding your dog with atibiotics and drugs???

Our Solution:
We took a brave step, and together with our Vet, Dr. Lye, ARVC, we changed the diet to a vegetarian diet(Addictions vegetarian),with daily doses of Organic oils and fresh crushed Organic fruit and vegetable Juices. Treats were given as chopped up Organic apples as our Rotties loves apples. I m sure you have heard: An Apple a day, keeps the Vets at bay!

The result:
It was fantastic! In a matter of short weeks, the problem was irradicated, the dogs are now gleaming in their full glory. Absolutely immaculate coat! Not a single flake or dandruff in sight and the dog is very comfortable.

Cost:
But of cos, everything comes with a cost. We bought a 2 door chiller to keep the Organic fruits and vegetables and the oils, as we buy them in bulk. A juicer @ $1k. Many many many man-hours of TLC,researching, to prep the meals, juicing and logging every step and observation. But hey, I ask myself what I want at the end of the day; A heathly dog fed with excellant high grade morsel suitable for even you n me -------OR--------Constant expensive trips to the vets, that most of the time, will drug up your pet and you'll end up with double the problem, thus double the cost again and it'll go on n on n on.

Just a thought, if the dog is just fed on a vegetarian diet, will the dog get sufficient energy? Dogs by nature are ominivores, thus would need a fair amount of proteins (from meat or eggs) to keep his energy up and be the active and happy dog he should be. Other functions of protein would include the provision of antibodies for immunity and blood clotting.

you will be surprised that some dogs really allergy to all kind of meats and ended up they become a vegetarian dog...

What abt feeding them organic animals :P animals that feed on organic food only

cos i ever heard before that there are certain dogs who are really allergy to all kinds of meat..even a small pcs will cause them itch and problem is no matter whether if is organic or not.
you can try to feed organic chicken if it agrees with ur bank account
