Oishi TVR for comments
I am posting Mr. Oishi's ranchu for your comments. Hope that this can help us to train our eyes to see the potential of a ranchu and thereby improve our skill in the process.

First pic - Nice and smooth side profile. Based on the pic, body length is long.
Second pic - Nice piece but hard to gauge body length from the pic. Only thing I don't like is that slightly messy scales on the back (near to the tail), Third pic - Nice back view. Head growth from this angle is good. Backbone is thick, the Oza and tail seat are very good. |

Just a bit lah. I like red head spotted more (these will set my heart beating fast). Don't really like white head cos hard to groom/develop based on my personal experience. ![]() Below is a pic of my favourite red/white spotted (deceased). ![]() Last edited by pykoh : 19-Jul-2005 at 12:45 PM. |

Hi Ranchu Lover
Can confirm if all the first 3 pics are of the same fish? I am thinking that they are but pics taken from different angle/view. ![]() |

Your correction is correct. The second picture is of another Oishi comp fish. But they are sisters.

Bro, Look at the second and third pics, the tail pattern of the fish in these two pics is an indication that they are two different fishes. ![]() |

This photo is better. A nice Oishi Ranchu. Nice long head and body with small scales. I only wish the caudal peduncle was thicker and the tail bigger. How is the Oza ? Regards, Geert Coppens |
