Good Persian cat groomers? where u groom your cats?

As cat owners know...quite a few groomers are not very willing when it comes to grooming cats. Reason being - Cats tend to have a mind of their own, hate being still, hates WATER (tho' some loves playing with water)...and cats SCRATCH!

Some groomers would reject fierce cats as well. I do agree that groomers have the right to reject - well, its their business and their hands...

However, for those of us who owns Persians - it is important to find a good, caring and experienced Groomer who grooms without ever considering sedating the cat.

My B.B. just had her grooming doen last month and will be sending her for her second one. Her groomer said she behave wonderfully and I was present the whole time. I have her groomed at Alpha pets at Sembawang Road.

The groomer owns Persians and also show cats thus he is very experienced and handles my B.B. very well.

I actually groom my cats myself. But I have to add, my dog is groomed by the same guy! I find him gd ya, cos he does a gd job of cleaning her up last time she had skin problem. Keke.

i sent Ruby to Cat Whisperer recommended by clover few days ago...when the delivery man sent Ruby back...he told me Ruby is a hard nut to crack...need at least 2 ppl to hold him down...he even got scratches too on his hand

i choose basic grooming for Ruby which is the $40 package inclusive of nail clipping,bathing with shower creme,trimming of fur,cleaning of ears and eyes and a massage i think (if i did not hear wrongly) and she came back smelling good n clean

overall not bad...can try it out

Nothing wrong with Ruby right? I hope not. Cos I haven't tried their grooming yet. But I really liked their shop and their owner was very helpful when I was there. So I thought can give it a try.

LoL But my cats don't need the really expert grooming leh. What does your persian look like? Got post pics?

Hey there,
I just adopted a persian and i was wondering if i could get some tips on the grooming frequency and the steps to do so for such a breed. I understand that there are a lot of steps that are required in order to make sure their coat is beautiful and shiny and to stop the shedding as well. So are there any tips that you can offer me and maybe a good shampoo to use as well.
