Puppies don't require a lot of baths.... coz some times a dog can catch a cold... well, especially long haired ones coz they need to be dried using a blower coz of their thick fur. Just bath once in 2 weeks is sufficient. If the pup smells, it could be the ears or the mouth. Then you clean the ears... mouth should be the smell of food.
You can get hold of some dry shampoo, powdered form and has some perfumed scent. I think it's made using corn starch or some organic powder that doesn't hurt the dog or cause irritation. Just apply some of the powder, massage it into the fur and brush your pup, will smell nice and fresh. Condense milk is a big no no.... well, for certain is some got high sugar content.... another is the lactose from cows... best to use those made specially for animal consumption. You can try and get hold of goat's milk. Perfectly good to feed goat's milk. |

Thanks for your advice.
My puppy is eating too little especially 'no, no' to dried dog food even we soaked them with baby milk power (diluted with water) and warm water. We have to feed her with dog's biscuit and even cat canned food (premium rate). Just wonder is it becos her teeth is not fully grown, thus she refuses the dried food? Ghoat milk sound worth trying, Cheers |

Baby milk powder? Is it for humans or for dogs? Coz cow's milk is just bad for dog's tummy.
Hmm.. you little one should be eating a good brand of dog food. What brand are you using? I personally got picky eaters and NutriEdge is good so far... well, I'm in Malaysia so not sure if this brand can be found in Singapore or not. Another good brand is EaglePack. Cat food is not very good for a dog. Try and get hold of Blackwood canned food or Innova canned food for dogs... good taste. Anyway, if my puppy was like that, I would make a meaty stew say chicken bones, some chicken meat and livers, boil with water till the water turns milky and the meat flakes. Then, take only the liquid, minus the bones and meat if possible, soak the kibbles with that meat soup. This works on some dogs. If your dog got poor appetite, well, you can check with a vet to know if there is any problem with your dog or not. |

its the baby milk powder as recommended by the breeder but now after reading your msg, would think otherwise. Anyway, she also dun like to drink.
Just discover that can cat food is of high protein which is not good for dog. Thus, just started to put her on 'Royal Canin' puppy dried food and seem like she dun mind it. So would carry on with this brand. Her appetite has improved greatly. Would try out on the 'rainforest' shampoo, thanks. cheers ![]() |
