Thai Fish Expo 2006

The Thai Fish Expo 2006 was organized during 24 - 28 June 2006. I organized two booths, one for Goldawick, and the other was for my friend Nung's NK Farm. It was quite an honour to participate this year. I have to spend 3 whole days before the show started to organize our booths, so I was able to be present at most of the activities for the show. There were all kinds of fish competition at the show. Most of the GF competitions started a couple of days prior to the show started. This year I was able to meet and greet most of the enthusiasts joining the show. The winners are the usual suspects, NK having taken many trophies as well. A hearty congratulation to all the winners.

I have taken quite a few pictures and will try to illustrate along for your enjoyment. Hope that you will like the pictures show, aight. Sawasdee krap.

The first few pictures are of the exhibition from the Royal Project that His Majesty King Bhumiphol Aduladej of Thailand provided a much needed fish specie (last picture of this set) for the Thai farmers. This year the Expo also has the aim to celebrate and commemorate His Majesty Golden Jublee as well.

Long Live His Majesty.

Thai Fish Expo 2006

In this set I would like to present the Goldawick and NK Farm booth. The scenery is quite pleasant as you may see. It was a really nice Fish Expo this year, for sure.

Thai Fish Expo 2006

This set of pictures are of the exhibition zone of one of the major croc farm in Thailand. Not only are skin harvested, but the meat, eggs and skeleton are also sold.

At the Expo this year there is also the show of a Smart Croc which has been hand raised as part of the family. Check out the newspaper clipping and pics. Quite interesting and weird. The next set will be the pictures of the Smart Croc upclose and personal.

Thai Fish Expo 2006

One morning before the Expo open to the public, I walked by the pen of the Smart Croc and I find that the door to his room is open and his keeper is having breakfast with the Smart Croc right next to him. As soon as I started to take pictures, the keepers turn around and open the Croc's mouth for me so that I could take a nice pictures. It was really cool and surreal. I couldn't believe how tame that croc is. I guess love and attention does conquer quite a bit in the wild kingdom.
