Hanxin, i think he asked for the no. of days a female can go into heat.. haha.. she can go into heat for a few days usually 2-4 days. Longest I've recorded in my records is 6 days. But we cannot be sure that the female will go into heat within 24 hours of giving birth. Normally they will, but not always. Sometimes they only go into heat a few days or weeks after they give birth.
Anyway, here's some pointers you probably already know, but for the benefit of the rest who don't.
Its best to seperate the male from the female 1 or 2 weeks before the due date and if you really have to have to put her back with her hubby, I would only do tat after 8 weeks. This is to ensure that the kit has been weaned and can be removed from the mom if the dad shows signs of "childishness" by playing around with the kit like a toy. Happened to me before, happened to quite a few overseas breeder before. You can also observe her during these 8 weeks to see how many times if she has gone into heat. So you can slip in a few playtime for the couple to get together when she's not in heat. Like going on a date with the baby at the nanny and taking birth control pills
A thumb of rule is to let the kits wean off, seperate the male kits from the mom at 8 weeks and the female kits at 10 weeks. Best to let the mom have some alone time for maybe 4-8 weeks after all kits are weaned off to let her have some rest. Just think of her as your mom/wife giving birth to you/your children. I'm sure they would need some alone time as well without the baby right? If not, she might be stressed, start pulling out her own fur and the kits' fur too
