No problem.
1) The first picture of two hamster babies, the one of the left is a blue fawn, the one on the right is a blue argente(siblings of the blue fawn are blue argentes) in this batch they are more orangy. 2) The left pic on the second row(now 2mth old female blue argente) is more bluish. 3) The right pic on the second row is a lilac male, it has brownish fur around his eyes making him look special. 4) The last pic is a good example of a blue argente. Website below shows a range of hamster varieties. http://www.hamsterific.com/Varieties.html Last edited by Frozgal : 18-Jul-2006 at 04:09 PM. |

Abit of campbell genetic for u
Argente genes is pp Opal genes is dd Blue fawn is made of argente and opal which is ddpp. Blue argente is probably dpp, which is argente carrying opal. (Shows charactisitics of partial mix of opal and argente). Lilac is aaddpp where aa is black bear genes. BEA is bb which is rarely rare in Singapore, there is but few and is weak in Singapore's campbell genes, so maybe only partially of its influence can be seen on our hamsters. All my hamsters come from a Dark Beige carrying opal aabbppd, but all her partners don't carry BEA. I want to find other hobbist breeders who are interest to maintain the BEA genes.
