If you are breeding to sell, I hope you would read up more about the colour and genetics of Holland Lops.
Your adult HL is not `grey', assuming that the photo attached above is one of a rabbit you own at home. It is a chestnut. Chestnut itself has various categories. I hope you don't pass wrong information to the people who may come to own your baby bunnies. You should also not pass false hopes to potential owners, as though holland lops are the friendliest bunch of bunnies, there are a few that are not. They may or may not `follow the owner and nose your leg, and climb onto your lap for a cuddle, enjoys stroking by owner` after puberty. This is something you have to let your potential buyer know, as it is your responsibility. You should also let the potential buyer know that toilet training is not guaranteed, as once the bunny moves to a new enviroment, it is not unlikely that it would forget all its toilet manners. There are no grey holland lops too. Grey Holland Lops to a layman would be the colours of chinchilla, opal, squirrel etc This is dependent on various factors. One main factor, genetics-What is in the background of the rabbits you bred |

im not those professional full time breeders who breed to sell - it will be too dangerous for them, should anything happen.
anyway, so far, i have no problem with my adult bunnies - they still come up to nose my leg and climb onto my lap. of cos, u are right to an extent, cos i cant say the same for the babies when they grow up. but as of now, they are so still as frenly, and lets say lets hope they will take this gene from their parent. i think if i say chestnut, they will hardly know what i mean, so grey is colour that most people can relate to. anyway, thanks for the pointers. i take note of this and let the prospective owners know. |

since you have been telling people that your lops are grey in color, i dun think you are being honest. I think we shall stop the deal from today. *pls dun keep telling others that your lops are grey in color. study more on rabbit color and genes before posting on forum.

hmm, i never log in so long. and wah so big hoo.. its ok if u dont want to buy.. nobody is forcing u..... u have your own choices. and i think you are not being very nice, in fact (please excuse me) rather rude to say that im not being honest. i don;t see why i need to explain, but for others who are reading this, they may think i am what u say. well, to be frank, im not a professional breeder neither am i a pet shop owner/ worker, or someone who sell bunnies for a living. i know that there may be professional breeders here who are very detailed into their study of bunnies, so they should really be the experts here. im just a simple rabbit lover. it's just that both my holland lops that were previously purchased from a pet shop have mated, and out comes the baby bunnies, and i hope that i can find a good home/ owner for them, because i dont intend to keep so many bunnies at home. it's just as simple as that. it happens that my lops are quite loving to the owner. maybe cos my family gave them lotsa tender love! heee. well anyway have got both adults sterilized, so no more baby bunnies! therefore, i wont be well versed in those special genes and special terms for bunny colours. well, so that explains it. if u have good knowledge on bunnies, perhaps u can share with everyone instead, just like what some kind soul did. that would be deeply appreciated, instead of commenting before getting the facts in place. Dear members Greetings!! This is a forum to exchange knowledge and info. Hope everyone has enjoyable time here. From the posting, I dun see that there is any dishonesty. If bugz bunny is going to cheat anyone ... I dun think she will put up sure a steal deal of a pair of HL at S$150/-. (I thought chestnut color cost more than grey right? Correct me if I am wrong) Our mod's reply is base on the knowledge she knows and like to share with her. Sorry for being a KPO.
