Glass/Acrylic cages
For people using the above mentioned type of cages, how do you ensure that the cage has adequete ventilation? How do you know how many ventilation holes are enough? Besides the fact that glass is more resistant, and does not scratch as easily, are there any differences? Price wise, is glass much more costly?
Thanks. |

I have more or less decided on the design. Received a lot of input from the designer so it is quite different from the original one i came up with. I have not decided on who will be doing it, as i am still asking around for quotations.
My original and most ideal design came up to 9 k. This is IMO, quite worth it, as it was to be made of tempered (is that how u spell it?) glass with a metal frame to ensure its stability. Too bad i don't have the budget. The designer is coming up with a few other designs for me to look at next week, so i will see how it goes. |

Not yet, been a bit busy these past few days. I was also a bit worried as someone said that I would need to supervise his work and i am not too sure if i will be able to do that. What do you think? How long have you used your cages so far? I am worried that it will spoil too soon, and all my pocket money will just fly away..LOL. I hope for it to last at least 5 years..Esp since I want to use tempered glass, which costs substantially more. But, i think the choice to use tempered glass is needed, as the cages will also house rabbits, which are MUCH heavier and more destructive..LOL...
I love Ritzy's cage too. I showed the designer her cage and asked her to give me another quotation for a design similar to hers.HeeHee..It is supposed to bring my cost down substantially as it was the metal frame that made up the bulk of the cost..I am such a sucker for wood anyway. I just love wood..But..at the rate I am moving, I think my cages won;t be ready by end May...sob.. |
