Elgin's Congo African Grey 'Ash'

Hi Elgin,

How's Ash (CAG). I was shock to receive your SMS preparing for his funeral. It's that bad huh? Didn't you ask our breeder's for help.

Note that one important step when a bird gets sick is to isolate and keep warm. I'll do this with a 60 watts bulb hung next to the cage. Find a way to keep the heat in. I've saved a good number of sick birds in the past just taking this very important first step.

Ash was brought to Dr Hsu this afternoon and was suspected of heavy metal poisoning. Even though Elgin had prepared for the worst but he still do not give up hope saving the little life.

Thanks guys, I am still trying to save him. Just have to get prepare for the worst incase anything happen. If he really left me I would also want him to have a proper cremation. Its not that I want to give up, but he really don't look good. I really don't want to lose him, he used to be so sweet and nice. But now because he is sick, he became so aggressive and bite whoever that goes near. It really breaks my heart, he must be suffering. I don't know what I can do to ease his pain. Dr Hsu is running a test on him to see if its really due to heavy metal toxicity, today after work I'll be bringing him down to Clementi for his second jab. After the forth jab if he did not improve then Dr Hsu will have to take an x-ray to see if he had swallow anything that could have cause this problem.

For the pass two days, he have been laying down in his cage and would only get up when I walk near. One think good is that he still look alert and could still whistle whenever he sees me but his body is rather weak and he doesn't allow anyone to touch him. He looks like a baby, just like when I first got him, day by day and see how he grew stronger and stronger each day.

I can only pray to god, pray hard and hope that he will not take my boy away from me...
