This I agree and I think however difficult, there will always be a possibility of one happening. It's not a question of whether there will be one, but when. If not 5 years, maybe 10, if not 10 then maybe 20 years.

BTW, am I correct to say that there are only 3 yokozuna in the AJRS so far?

Oh! one more thing Geert, on behalf of Petsfanatics we welcome you to Petsfanatics Forum.

I have been keeping goldfish since I was little. I can only tell you from my experience with other goldish as I have only started with TVR some 14 months ago. My longest goldfish I have kept is 3.5 years.

Any one care to share how long their ranchus have lived?

Hi Geert,

Care to explain more on what you mean by Yokozuna. I am new to ranchu and I will appreciate your educational explanation.

I know Geert will have the answer but just wanted fill this in given the time difference and the volume of queries he gets a day. I learnt this from Geert and am now passing it on.

Yokozuna is a term given to a Rachu that wins three times East Ozeki ("Champion") - i believe regardless of the competition show and category. Just like the rankings given to SUMO wrestlers.

East Ozeki is a title for 1st prize ranchu that won in that category. Second place is called West Ozeki.

Thanks bro Pykoh, but what about third and fourth placing....will it be known as North/South Ozeki....care to enlighten. Funny to the caucasian, West side is always the rich man area while the East side of the street are mostly for the blue collar worker...oh sorry just some rumbling thoughts and trying to figure out why the Japanese call their champion East Ozeki and runners up West Ozeiki!

Follow the link below, show you a sample of AJRS 2003 result. In english, I think they only have name for first and second placing. However if you look at those Jap Goldfish book (latest edition), each placing have their own unique title.

AJRS 2003
