Thank you very much for your questions.

I judge my fish in accordance with the Nichiran Standard or the competition standard as dictated by the Japanese Ranchu Association. I judge any fish that are ready for competition today to be A Class, every thing else will fall under B, C and D. My teacher, Mr.Kashino, taught me that differnt countries, people, clubs and hobbyists will tend to judge the fish a bit different. As long as you adhere to the proper proportion of the Nichiran standards, you could not go very far. Even the SVRs standards which originated from Thailand also contains characteristics and standards from the Nichiran as well.

The colours of the fish in the pictures are very vibrant. The pictures do not quite do the fish justice. Trust me the colours are quite exceptional for ranchu provided that you have given the proper diet and feeding regiment. The fish that seem to be quite pale are due to the fact that they are still young fish and growing very fast. The colours have yet to catch up to the fish. This will be better as the fish reach adulthood (3 years). Furthermore, it should be noted that colouring of the fish is the last factor that any experts will pay attention to, the body form and swimming action is much more important. But for any Champion, colours and conditioning remain an integral part still.

Thailand do export all kinds of ornamental fish on a global scale. If you have any fish that you are interested in, I will be more than happy to suggest a few professional choices for you.

Hope that this helps a bit aight.
