I do not think that this is A's fish, to tell the truth. It may be from one of his friend's house. It is a really nice piece any how, I agree with Geert. A picture is worth a thousand words.

It takes a huge amount of knowledge and skill to breed and develop a Ranchu of this quality. FANTASTIC.

Geert,

Your avatar is very nice. I presume it is from your own spawning. Care to share it's lineage/bloodline?

Thanks and Best Regards

If I may, just a small comment on this. Geert is an old hand at breeding ranchu and he is also up on the history and the latest news and goings on in Japan too. I do believe that he is also developing his own bloodline as well, and I understand that it may be difficult for him to reveal all the goings on behind the scene. And we all do have to respect all the breeders on this point. Sharing information is one thing, but each breeders will also have to cultivate their secret skills in order to compete with the other breeders , as well. However, what ever knowledge that he will share on his TVR development will be most helpful for every one, I am certain. Just my humble opinion.

By the way one point to clarify on Mr.A, Chonburi is the province where he lives and not his last name. There are many fellow with the name A in the Thai TVR circle, and A Chonburi is something like his call sign.

It is true that I prefer not to discuss the bloodlines I use in public. Pat, thank you for your understanding. Most of the Ranchu I breed are a combination of different Japanese bloodlines.
The photo is the Ranchu as a Nisai. At the time being, this Ranchu has become a young Oya. I will try to make a new photo soon.

Regards,

Geert Coppens

You do have a point there, personally I think that a good TVR is a good SVR too, especially when they are younger. Of course there will be a lot of exceptions particularly fish that are bigger such as Mr.Kashino's and Mr.Katou's fish. When they are younger the back will seem a little long, but when the wen develops the balance will get better. Case and point please study the CBR picture attached.

As long as you let us see some of your children from time to time, that will be enough for me. I love to see nice fish being bred outside of Japan. It gives a breeder like me more encouragment to continue on this long hard road called ranchu. Beautiful fish you have there, Geert. Keep up the excellent work.
