More of the Tosai class entries for your enjoyment.
The first two pictures are of my pride and joy from my own breeding. She got 12 points from the judges which makes me very proud. As you may have already perceived that the Nisai class entries are quite exceptional, and there are quite a lot of A grade fish that participated. All the big guns are out, you can say.

We will continue with the Tosai entries. Please notice that the first fish has a real nice colour and shines. However, for Japanese judges, it will be better if the fish is slightly more yellowish since the fish will stand out more in the bowl, rather than blending in with the background. FYI, duckweed will help in this matter rather well. Further on you will notice a completely white TV (this one even has a red goggles even). Eventhough the quality is quite good, but a completely white TVR usually do not do too well in the Show.

I hope that you have enjoyed all the pics of the lovely entries and of the show thus far. I will suspend the posting for this evening here and will continue more tomorrow. I think that there are enough TVR for y'all to enjoy for now.
Please stay tune for much much more tomorrow. We will go on to the Junior classification entries and then we will get on with the actual contest with all the pics of all the distinguished judges. Have a good evening and sawasdee krap. ![]()

Thank you very much Geert for your kind comments. I surely have a lot more pictures to show. I am not even to the half way point yet, I don't think.
I also agree with Geert that the overall quality of the ranchu in Thailand has improved ten folds since I started my former farm. The ranchu circle has certainly expanded and there are a lot more local breeders specializing in ranchu now. This past year our friend Mr.Jatupon (student of Mr.Kashino) managed to be in the top five of the Nisai class at the Okayama Show, and no.50 something for the AJRS. I believe that it is the first time that any Thai breeder has been endowed with such honour. It gives me great joy to hear and also make me work harder to may be realize that dream myself one day as well. At this past show I have seen so many beautiful fish that are bred in Thailand that are of the same quality as those imported pieces from Japan as seen by the Japanese Society's judges. Any way, I will now continue with the presentation of the Show. I will continue where I left off yesterday by presenting you the entries for the Junior Classification. In my humble opinion, the Junior class entries were quite fierce as well. The overall quality of the entries were truly amazing. From the best fish to the last fish, the quality were quite competitive which signifies the overall breeding ability and capacity of the local breeders.
