Very nice piece here. I like the scalation and long head most. Scales seems to fall in place very nicely and the head is so long and wide.

Another beautiful tail. Excellent fish, just one comment if I may, a bit skinny, don't you think?

Maybe it is a little skinny at the time being. But, I must say that I like Tosai with a very long body and a caudal peduncle that is a little long. I think this gives well-balanced Oya that can swim well.
As it is a female, I am conviced that the body will become much stronger and the caudal peduncle look shorter soon.

Regards,

Geert Coppens

Geert,

Can you give a bit more details by what you mean "....body will become much stronger....."? Do you mean increase in bulk or backbone will thicken or etc?

Thanks and Best Regards

Hello PY Koh,

It will increase in bulk ; and hopefully the backbone and caudal peduncle will thicken too.

A female fish, very lucky you are. This is going to be one big fish. I cannot wait to see this fish at Oya size, especially the tail. Keep up the good work, Geert. Looks like you are having a pretty good year, thus far.

Personally i like this piece a lot, a balanced Ranchu and I trust that the belly will fill towards its tail. I'm personally not keen on chubby short ones. To me, its greatest strength is its scalation and it rivals the best scalation of Ranchus shown in this forum and others
