It'll probably be a few years later. I'll make sure I'm ready first before I simply rush to adopt a dog. My tutoring fees aren't enough to maintain a pug or a homeless dog (making him/her happy) as I have Internet, School fees, transportation fees to worry about. But meanwhile I'm satisfied looking at pics and reading up on them!

I like the way you think. Wish more people had the same thoughts as you. Many I have come across that get puppies on impluse, then when it become troublesome or not puppy cute anymore, they put it up for adoption or sell it away.

Regarding your comment

The friends I have are not irresponsible. One of my friends adopt strays, spay them (do you know there's a mark on one of their ear to show they are spayed? Like the tip is trimmed a lil) and take good care of them. She lives on the first floor and she have a neighbour who keeps cats as well (theirs are the more exotic breeds) but a pet is a pet. Needs care and attention. The sad news is whenever her cats go for their daily walk out of house nearby they'll sometimes return without their collars. Until my friend said she would buy cheap collars. Another friend bought 2 maltese (one male and one female) but they are kept separately as she don't want pups and recently she bought a Shihtzu to join her family.
