These pets are legal in Malaysia... but they aren't popular due to the fact that petshops overprice them and also coz they have quills. Pity, they do make cute pets and are good for those that work during the day coz hedgehogs are only active at night.

Thanks... it was Hun's idea... she suggested ice-cream cone but i cud not get any yet so I figure a cup wud be gud subsitute

Hi crazymouse, its a very sweet fella! How you manage to get it? Anyway I heard that hedgehog eat insects too? is that true? Are their spikes very sharp?

Yup, they eat insects. Mine likes mealworms and beetles, sometimes crickets too. He once swallowed a cockroach. The spikes don't really feel that sharp when you know how to handle it. If handled wrongly, then yes, it's sharp enough to make you jump. Like a needle.
