Announcing the birth of R1. R1 is a hetero beige girl born Sep 14th. Father is a mosaic from Carole Kessler lines while the mother is descended from Whitewoods and Ritterspach lines. Maternal grandmother was once a white section color champion.

R1 was 61 grams at birth and is growing like there is no tomorrow. She was 98 grams this morning.

Wow! That is huge...My babies are usually only around 50g...
I was surprised to read that you got chins from Carole Kessler lines. I thought she was retired! lol. Guess it only shows how outdated I am.
How does the father look like? Care to post a photo? I have yet to see any chinchillas from Carole Kessler, and am only aware that she is a 'disciple' of Alice Kline.

Carole is retired. The father is over 10 years old and belongs to a friend of mine in the US. Btw, Alice Kline has a daughter who is also a breeder and show judge.

10 years old and still reproducing!!!! Fab chin..
didn't know that alice klines' daughter showed...tt's nice to know..
Do you have many other pregnant chins?

Just one at this time. A violet paired with a mosaic vc.
