The Okayama Ranchu Show 2005
 

Today I would like to post some pictures taken by Mr.Kashino during the Okayama Ranchu Show 2005. The Okayama Ranchu Show is the Show around Okayama, and this year is no different. This year the Show was held on September 11, 2005. From having talked to Master Kashino earlier today, I was informed that this year he has done quite well. I believe that he won the West Ozeki (2nd) prize for the Oya (3 year old) and the Nisai Class (2 year old), and his tosai also did ok too. The discussion we had was through a translator so, I am not too sure about the formal placing yet, and should be able to inform you of them later on. HOwever, as well as Mr.Kashino has done this year, Mr.Kato has done even better. He has won the hatrick, namely he won the East Ozeki (1st)for the Oya, Nisai and Tosai classes (1 year old). What an amazing performance by Mr.Kato, this year. I personally have never heard of any one who could win all three classification. Kato ranchu is very stong this year. Mr.Kato and Mr.Kashino are the ones to watch this year, I say.

I think that it is safe to say that Okayama ranchu is once again very strong in the competition circles in Japan. I could not wait to see how my friends and colleagues will be able to do in the Regional and National Show that will be coming soon enough. Exciting prospect, indeed.

The first few pictures will be of the atmostphere at the Show and later I will include some of the pictures of Mr.Kashino and Mr.Kato ranchu that won the Oya and Nisa class. I will sure to post more pictures for your consideration when more become available. Hope that you will enjoy the pictures shows. The first ranchu is the East Ozeki (1st) of Mr.Kato in the Oya Class (3 yrs).

The second ranchu is the West Ozeki (2nd) of Mr.Kashio in the Oya Class.

The third ranchu is the East Ozeki (1st) of Mr.Kato in the Nisai Class (2 yrs).

The fourth ranchu is the West Ozeki (2nd) of Mr.Kashino in the Nisai Class. You may remember this picture that I have shown you in my past thread.

The fifth ranchu is the Tategyoji (3rd) in the Nisai Class.
