What are Ranchu ?
I don't know this very well.
I don't know what Is Ranchu perhaps what someone here can explain... Is it a Gold Fish ? Is it expensive ? What is the beauty in it ? I just want to know more and learn about these fishes. Perhaps a link or two will help. Thank You in advance. |
Ranchu is a type of goldfish which is very popular in Japan, Thailand, China and many other places in the world. Ranchu is a very special breed since it has been intentionally bred to have no dorsal fin and to have certain characteristic which is now known as the Nichiran standards of ranchu or the Japanese standards of ranchu. Like dog shows any where, there are lots of competition in ranchu since breeding ranchu is considered an artform in many places in the world. Ranchu is not expensive if you are not buying competition fish. The art of appreciating ranchu has been dated back over a thousand years in Japan and China. Ranchu is originally bred from carp. This is merely a short introduction. If you do some reading on your own time, you will find that there are lots of information about ranchu in many websites. Enjoy. :)

Mr. Ranchu Lover. You post such a superb solid SV ranchu for Mr. David to view as a sample, he may mistaken all ranchus are like that. But remember this ranchu must pay a very high price. I believe this ranchu is one of the winner in any other competition.
