Attention Seeking Behaviour
 

Bad behaviour in dogs are mostly natural behaviour; it comes in the package. Good behaviour on the other hand need to be inculcated, you'll have to invest some time and effort. Whether it's begging or other objectionable behaviour like whinning, barking for attention etc it's about YOU as the alpha dog taking charge and not giving in and stay consistent. Begging for food or nudging with a toy for a game is Attention Seeking and it often evolve to Barking for attention for the times you refuse the dog. Most probably such dogs rules the house.

If everyone walk their dogs leashed instead letting them run free, alot of unpleasant incidents and misunderstanding could be avoided. Use the long retractable leash or a long line (commonly use in intermediate and advance obedience training) cos you want them to enjoy the open space.

There are non-aggresssive dogs that doesn't like to be bothered (whether by people or dog) by over zealous ones. When owners of those happy go lucky ones don't take charge of their dog, their nosiness often become an irritation to the other dog and trigger a confrontation and a fight.

Think about it, you wouldn't let a stranger pat you or sniff your backside would you? :(

Question :
"Juz a thought... are dogs forgetful? My ger seems to know where her toys are and where is the socks placed. But she juz duno the right place to pee & Poo... how come???"

Answer :
"It's got nothing to do with memory. How old is your dog? Have you toilet trained it. Please realise that you need to TEACH your dog where to poo and pee before he'll understand; like you need to teach a kid ABC before he can read ABC. If you have attempted toilet training then the dog haven't fully understood it.

Do you realise that in the wild a dog will poo and pee anywhere at anytime; that's perfectly normal behaviour."

Teaching your dog the popular PAW trick have other benefits. To trim doggy's nail you need the cooperation at least to have it's paws being held in your hand without a struggle. ;)
