Yesterday afternoon around 1pm while i'm trying to expand the searching area, a little girl from a bread shop told me she actually saw a guy holding to a parrot almost the same as mine on 25/12.
In the end, my cousin accompany me to wait for the guy to come home but we stop waiting at 9pm. Then my wife place a notice near the lift before we left.
At Around 1am, a guy called up saying that my macaw is with him. ::)
So i rushed down and pick her up... Wah lucky....

You are most welcome.
I believe after this incident, the bond between you and the lovely macaw will get even stronger. By the way, do bring the her down to Goodwill for our usual gathering after she's fully weaned. ;)

Her name is Scarlet when i bought her 23th Dec 07.

She's afraid of me but having that innocent look I've decided that she's mine.
Less than 6 hrs at her new home, she became a cuddling and affectionate little baby.

25th Dec 07, when she open her cage and left the house with my window panel wide open leaving a pool of shit.

26th Dec 07, I've got her back when a young man kept her in his house.

27th Dec 07, she's full of appetite and completed her whole syringe of formula

28th Dec 07, she's playing on my bed and shit on my bedsheet while I'm cleaning

31st Dec 07, she completed her morning meal and playing lively in her cage.

Around 3pm I saw her cornered herself looking listless and weak. Immediately I drove her out to Animal Clinic but it was closed.
I called their emergency line and Doc Hsu returned my call saying that today is New Year Eve and unable to help me(I was quite piss off). Back then Scarlet was still looking at me like saying daddy i'll still hold on... I went to another clinic at Jurong Kechill and they told me to proceed to Mt Pleasant A&E but there are no bird specialist and they referred me to AMK Clinic at Sembawang by calling them. Doc Kenneth immediately rush back to clinic and gave me the support.

Scarlet made her last breath just 5 mins before i reached the clinic. She was stiff when i brought her in...

Though she got very strong will power to withstand the 1hr journey in search for someone to help and when i looked at her in my car, she gave me a last blink telling me she's leaving. I shouted at her please dont sleep but she cant... She laid on her back with her eyes opened...

Bye Scarlet... We missed you alot... I dont think i can get another macaw like you... We really love you.....

Thanks Doc Kenneth, you help me alot in the advice and we're very greatful.
Thanks Silvanus, you gave me the number of the "Jurong Kechill" Clinic.
Thanks Mt Pleasant Staff, you help me to contact Doc Thiru though he is at overseas and also gave me some glucose water for her.

I believe Scarlet will appreciate all the help you all had given and hopefully she can bless you guys while she's at rainbow bridge...

This is a very bad year for me and today is the last day of 2007. I'm crying while I'm typing this post so to all parrots lovers/pets owners...
Please cherish of what you have now and spent more time with them before they just leave you like this. I cant stop thinking of her.
Live life with no regrets...

Vincent,
Thanks for sharing your experience with us and I believe many of us will learn from this incident. I sincerely hope this incident will not draw you back from keeping parrots. Trust me, you will find another gem one day. Best wishes and Happy New Year to you and your love ones.
