Dog Shows at the Thailand's 6th Grand Pet Show
5 Attachment(s)
These are pictures from the dog show at the Thailand's 6th Grand Pet Show that was organized in December. One of my friend is an excellent Pug breeder and she won the Best of Breed and Reserve Best in Show for the Toy Group. Her dog has the same sire as my pug Diana so it was a very happy moment for all of us. I wish that my dog could join the show, but I fear that she may be too plump to show. Any how, I took quite a few pictures of the second day of competition which is the Best in Show judgement day. All of the dogs that you will see in the rings are all Champions of their breed and group.
I do not quite know all the breeds of the dogs, but I quite like taking pictures that day. I was in dog heaven. *dance The first set will be pics of the ring during various group judging. |

Hi Pat,
nice photos! Was wondering about the cropping laws in thailand. Is it allowed? I noticed that the great dane in post 4 does not have cropped ears..is it because dogs with cropped ears aren't allowed to be shown in thailand? I think there is a similar rule in singapore, anyone can clarify? |
I believe that the judges will give same points for both. For Great Dane, I am not so sure, but one of my good friend breed and show Pitbull and that's the case as well. Most of the Thai owners of dogs that I know are really afraid of hurting their dogs. However, most of the Great Danes, and Pitbulls' ear in most of the Shows are all cropped. The one in the picture is quite a change for me.
