Please comment for my new adoption 5 bbr, age about 5 weeks.
And what is the best regime feeding to raise these bbr? Currently I give them frozen BW only.

Thanks.

They look quite nice. I think that you should feed them some dapphnia too. They will be able to eat quite a lot more than bloodworm. They are quite small for BW at this size.

Thanks for your opinion. It is hard to find the live daphnia here, so I give them frozen BW only, 4-5 times a day. I use aerator and without any filtration. I change the 100% water every 2 days. Am I right on how to keeping this fishes?

Rex,
Are you in Indonesia (Jakarta)?, you can find the frozen daphnia easily. It is very important to feed your bbr with daphnia that essentialy help your bbr to get high protein, until 2 month, then you can feed them with frozen dahpnia and frozen BW for next two weeks, after this better you start to give them frozen BW and pellet (Hikari from Japan is recommended). Are you keeping your ranchus in concrete pond, fiber, or aquarium? According to my experience, better you change the water every day, just change 25%-50% maximum instead of 100% every two days. Ranchu is very sensitive to the water changes, it may have an implication to the growth of ranchus.

Hi Ton,

Yes I live in Jakarta. I keep them in the plastic container only. OK I will find the frozen daphnia for them. What is ur opinion about the quality of my ranchus?

Could you update the pics jus a bit, I know that they must have grown quite a bit. It is very difficult to guage from the pics of BBRs that are that small.
