New breed in Singapore - American Curls

Hi,

There is a new breed in Singapore. It originated from California and has been around for just 20 over years.

Can you share with us more about this new breed here rather than linking to your website. I'm sure many would like to know more about it.

American curls

This breed of cat is special for their curl ears. It's because of a dominant gene that causes the ears to curl backwards. The base of the ear is hard and towards the tip is soft. However unlike to Scottish Fold who has a folded ear that cannot stay in our warm climate, the ears of a curl are permanently set at 4 months.

It is a wonderful breed. They are very good with people and surprisingly good with other pets at home. They are a cat that comes up to you and seeks your attention. They are semi-longhair and has very little undercoat so there is minimal shredding and does not need frequent grooming.

More pics of the american curls can be viewed at my webpage. That's why I gave the link :)
