hi yanti.. u shouldnt just put another cat in front of your existing ones when u begin introductions.. starting off on the wrong foot can lead to behavior problems. firstly congrats on your new addition n i hope that u've prepared for the needs of an additional cat. the litterbox rule is most important and that is one box per cat plus one. there is no such thing as too many litter boxes but plenty of problems when there are not enough, not situated in a private enough location etc.

u should separate the new kitty, confine it to your toilet(dry, with food and litter at separate corners, not too close to each other)if its not litter trained yet. in any case, a new addition should always be introduced to the litter first thing as it enters your place. to prevent confusion. yes it might be litter trained, but it doesnt know where the toilet is!

allow your other cats to sniff at it under the door. after a few days, change the locations of the cats. put your current cats in the room where the new addition was and vice versa. change a couple more times over the next few wks till they get used to the smell of each other.

now for face to face introductions. put new kitty in carrier. and existing cats in another. allow them to see each other from afar from within the carriers. watch for signs of aggression etc.. gradually put the carriers nearer over a couple of days. the day u let both sets of kitties face each other be prepared for a showdown. try to distract aggressor kitty with his fave food. most importanly... give both lotsa love and play time.
