Rabbits are self clean, No baths required

Some of my friends and relatives often ask me if we can give the rabbit a bath. I would tell them no but some are confuse as to why bathing products for rabbits are available in the market if a rabbit can't be "wash". Bathing is very stressful for a rabbit and its not advisable unless of course they are covered in mud, even then try to spot clean first.

We do not advise flea baths or baths of any sort for rabbits. Bathing a bunny can often cause her to become quite upset, sometimes causing her to go into shock; plus it is the nature of bunny fur to take a long time to get wet, and an even longer time to get dry. Spot bathing extremely dirty areas (feet, scut, etc.) is the way to go. If you use a hair dryer, us it on low to medium heat so you don't overheat the bunny, and keep it at least 12 inches from her body. Don't use it on her head, ears or privates. Sometimes bathing is necessary. In these cases, do it in a small sink in warm water. DO NOT EVER immerse entire bunny (water level should never be higher than belly level); instead, let bunny stand on hind feet while you support her upper body from the front. Yes rabbits cannot take a water bath. And if you give your rabbit a powder bath or grooming, pls use cornstarch powder. It's the safe powder to use, rather than commercial brands sold in the pet shop. (Cheaper too!) I'm using Pureen brand cornstarch powder for babies. :)

Yes, some rabbits like water, but those seem like rare cases. Haha, but so cool right? :) But must be the rabbit's nature, not the owner push and shove into a tub. LoL

I watched it on Pet Wonderland. This 2 ladies have a rabbit who floats upside down in water everyday during the summer. :D
