Finally, I have finished processing all the pictures from the Second All Thailand Ranchu Show 2005 which was organized on Sunday 4 December 2005. The Show was a great success with over 250 ranchu showed up for the contest. We had to extend the registration period by almost 45 minutes to accommodate all the awaiting entries. The weather was simply perfect, pleasant and sunny all through out the day. The quality of the ranchu that showed up for the Show were all quite impressived, as mentioned by the distinguished Japanese Judges, namely Mr. Masahiko Kashino of Okayama and Mr. Yasuharu Oishi of Kanagawa. The Best in Show Trophy which was the Crown Princess Cup was won by the East Ozeki Nisai belonging to Mr.Kittikorn, our former associate at the Absolute Fisheries. The Judges conduct an extensive Ranchu Worshop with all the participants of the Show after the judging were concluded. We spent almost two hours together afterhward talking about all things ranchu. We concluded the Show at sunset and proceed to award the certificates (with pictures of each of the Winners on the certificate) to all the winners before closing the Show. The formal presenation of all the the top five winners and the Best in Show Cup were concluded about a week later.

The Show was also very warmly received by such sponsors by "Saki Hikari: Fancy Goldfish Feed" by the White Crane Company, and "Goldawick" by the Absolute Fisheries and many more. There were many Pretty Presenters and Goldawick Girls to entertain the crowd and conduct the Ranchu Auction. The auctions (all fish donated by Judges, and various sponsors, and all proceeds are donated to the Ranchu Club without deducting any expenses) were very successful and the Ranchu Appriciation 2547 were very successful in raising funding to be used for the organization of future Shows.

Now I would like to present the pictures of the preparation the day before the actual show, and the proceedings all through out the day. As I was working very hard during the Show in many capacities and did not have the opportunity to capture all the activities of the Show. I have to apologize for this to every one before I start. However, I have been able to capture pictures of all the Winners, all the goings on during the show, all the pretty faces and even some of the winners' owner. I hope that the pictures will entertain you and present to you why the Show was such a great success.

I would like to take this opportunity to once again to express, on behalf of the 2nd ATRS 2005 Organizing Committee and the Ranchu Appreciation 2547 Club, our most sincere thanks to all the Sponsors, the Volunteers, friends, participants and all the ranchu brothers that have had the hand in making the Show such an unprecedented success.

The first serie following this thread will be the preparation the day and night before the 2nd ATRS 2005 Show. We got done at about midnight.

This serie is early morning on Sunday 4 December 2005 at Suanluan Rama IX in Bangkok. People showed up quite early for the Show and there were electricity in the air starting from vey early in the morning, indeed. ;)
