Can't seem to see the picture. How big is your fish? Often when fish is too well endowed, it will be difficult for them to spawn. Also the diet that you feed your fish will also effect the ability to breed. If you feed a lot of fresh food then most GF will tend to be able to spawn better. Usually fish spawn when there's a major change in the weather pattern. In Thailand, sideview ranchu spawn all the time, my friends fish spawn about once a month (yes, once a month). He manages to get nice fish every brood too. This shows that for sideview ranchu, the steps towards breeding show quality fish is not quite as hard as for topview ranchu. Topview ranchu in Thailand spawn twice annually while their counterparts in Japan spawn only once a year during spring time.

However, I have heard many people from Japan, and Thailand who plays around with the temperature (via heater and chillers) to induce spawning. Each techniques and attempts will require some expert opinion on how to take care of the seed fish. I do not recommend that beginners and novice attempt this option. You must know how to cure sick fish well prior to trying any drastic measures, I say. Any how, if you keep the parent fish in good condition and ready (please refer to my breeding posting), when the proper time comes, the fish will spawn easily enough for you. I hope that this is helpful. It is really difficult to walk you through the steps if you have very limited experience in breeding. I hope that my breeding posting will also help with some of your other breeding queries.
