Think you should contact your local kennel club to recomend a breeder in your area. Most clubs would be willing to advise you on this.

Also, when you meet the breeder, you can always ask him/her for advise and whether this breed suits you.If the breeder isn't helpful, look for someone else.. It is always best to get from someone you are comfortable with and is willing to give advice, esp since it is your first time with this breed.
