My glass cages
Hi all,
I started this thread as a kind of `diary' on my whole cage making procedure. All updates etc wld be contained in this thread.
I have finally decided on the design and materials used on my cage. Have asked my contractor to go through it again to make sure all of it is feasible before work starts. He says it will take ard 2 weeks, but i suspect longer cos of public holidays etc. The dateline i have given him is the end of the month. Will be confirming the materials and paying the deposit next week.
The design is a modified version of Lifan's cage.I will also be using the same colour as her.
My modifications so far however, is that I am making it a 40 unit wire based cage with pull out tray. The wire base is removable for easy washing, the trays concealed by a drawer. Trays also removable for easy washing.
Each cage comes with an individual lock to be opened by a master key so that no one opens and play with them without my supervision.
There is a 2 inch slit on the door for ventilation. To ensure it is cold enough, and my aircon can last longer, I will also be changing my existing air con to a mitsubishi inverter and adding a casement aircon. This idea of using 2 seperate aircons came from WK when he told me he used 2 aircons alternatively for his chin room.
I will probably also install either an exhaust fan or ventilation fan for the room. An industrial fan would also be used to circulate air in the room.
To help my cleaning process, I also have plans to get a Karcher industrial vacuum, but model not decided.
Hmm..don't think there is anything else. Will post more info at a later date.
