3 hours + has passed since Girl gave birth to the 1st pup but still no sign of the 1st afterbirth or more importatntly the 2nd pup. Hence I called a vet friend to ask for advice. He promptly advised us to bring girl to the vet asap.
Bout 12 noon, we reached the vets. Upon initial assessment by the vet, an xray had to be taken to determine if the pup had survived the lapse of 4 hours. If gas was seen on the xray, then the pup had probably died.
Yes, u guys can imagine the time taken to do the xray were very long. and they were just one of the longest moments of the day!
Heres the xary film on the retained pup. u will notice the skull and spine in the top lt hand of the film. a totally different direction from where its supposed to come out!
