Happenings of Girl's litter 4/11/2005

Finally people, I am able to relate the ups and downs that happened today when Ah Girl finally delivered her 2nd litter.

3/11/2005
On 3/11/2005, we discovered Girl panting away slightly. Temp dropped to 37.4 deg cel from her usual 38.0. However, we dismissed the panting and decided to retire for the night with plans to check up on Girl again at 0400 hrs the next fateful day : 4/11/2005.


4/11/2005

My wife woke up at 0400 hrs to check on Girl. She was panting away much more.

I woke up at 0530hrs deciding to get ready for the fateful moment when the pups came intothe world. By 0600 hrs, we could see Girl having the regular and frequent contractions that is classical of the birth of a puppy. Any Time now!

After offering her some water and chicken broth. we decided not to stress her with our presence went inti the living room to catch a movie with us periodically checking in on her.

At 0715hrs, much to our surprise (Actually not that surprising cos it happened to us the 1st time round), the 1st pup was out.

Notice the umbilical cord still attached and sticking out from Girl's womb.
