u have a scottish fold.. shorthair.. so u need a good set of brushes... all cats should be groomed daily and since young, so that they will like it. since u are adopting it.. make sure u get the grooming tools from the prev owners. bathing, clipping nails, grooming shld b done all by u. my advise is dont go to a groomer cos there will always be a time when u have to groom ur self and this will bring u many problems if u cant do it. it also will strengthen the bond between u and ur cat if u both enjoy grooming sessions. good food(azmira, royal canin, artemis, back to basics, felidae etc), good shampoo(squirt, chris christensen) and basic grooming are essential to maintaining a healthy cat with a healthy coat. bear in mind that there will be certain times of the year which is shedding season, u will notice that ur cat sheds more than usual. and count on it.. ur sofa will have fur on it.. if u cant handle it dont get a cat.. also grooming aside, make sure u get a good scratching post and train ur cat to scratch on it...
