I wonder do parrot breeders use dummy eggs and return the real eggs till all eggs are laid. In Canary and Finch breeding we do this so that all chicks are incubated and hatched at almost the same time and have a equal fighting chance and even growth. Otherwise often the first born turn out the strongest while the last one rather weak.
How many days more to go, Elgin08?

Hmm... Well, its been 2 weeks. So I guss the first egg should hatch somewhere next Sat or Sun. Well, I guess for the dummy eggs not much people are using cos parrot chicks need to be handfeed unless they don't want it to be tame like canary and finches. So it doesn't really matter... Like me, I will start to handfeed the 1st chick after the 5th one hatch and 2nd chick after the 6th one hatch and so on. The parents will not be able to take care of all of them, I will only leave 4 chicks for them to raise and handfeed the older ones. After the 4 chicks reaches 10 days old then I'll talk out from their parents to handfeed...
