What type of Amazon are you keeping? I don't think aggression in parrot is breed specific or that any particular breed would be less aggressive. You may have better luck with chicks in general but that doesn't guarantee it won't become aggressive as it age. Training plays an important part. Lots of people seems to do alright starting with African Grey chicks. Perhaps you want to conside this breed. Other smaller ones to consider - Quaker, Hahns McCaw, Cockatiel, Ringneck,etc Check with our forum breeders for one.
