Urgent: Market rate for Samoyed pup

Hi All
Need a little help from all out there.
I saw a Samoyed pup (M) for sale recently @ SGD$2500.
The pup is imported but with no paper and is 3 month old.
I wanna know wat is the market for such breed under the above conditions.
Does he really commanded such a price, for a pup with no paper?

Many thanx in advance.

The pricing of puppies depend much on quality, bloodline and "demand". And most of all if this is really your desired breed. It is good you do some studies and research before you committed in owning one.

With the recent case of the death of the Alaskan Malamute due to neglect it's good to consider carefully these Artic breeds. You may have done all the research and the decision is your to make. However please consider a Japanese Spitz. Smaller and maybe more manageable and you probably have lesser difficulty finding one. We have a JS breeder on this forum?
Cheers

Wink Hi ...

First of all,

I know which puppy farmer you were referring to. Everyone who has done their research would know which are the farms to avoid. BEWARE !

Samoyeds are indeed very few in this country, hence, these puppy farmers tend to exploit it to their advantage by raising the price, sometimes to undue levels. A sound and reasonable man would know it is totally unethical.

Amongs many things, having been associated with this wonderful breed for a few years, I have not known of a registered breeder/exhibitor with show quality blood lines demanded such a price for an unproven, unregistered, and non-pedigreed pup for such a price! [let alone a puppy farmer or backyard breeder]

At this moment, I strongly suggest that fanciers of any breed be extra vigilant and careful to choose or purchase from knowledgable registered breeders who are happy to provide you with support and guidance. Remember, a healthy and happy canine beats a beautiful 3 mth old pup who may turn out to be a very unhappy/unhealthy dog hands down !

For you to ponder ....
Ps: [I am happy to assist anyone who may be interested in this stunning breed, be it information etc ...pls send me a private message]
Cheers!
