Colonel Rupert Gwee, a highly respected and experienced bird keeper/breeder in Singapore's bird keeping circle and is perhaps the largest private breeder in singapore. He was a speaker at the 'Aves 2005 Avicultural Convention" in Grafton, Australia(http://www.parrotconventionsaves.com/).

Details of the talk? Any door gifts? How to check if my parrots are healthy for the talk?

If you are a parrot wannabe, or newbie, you must never miss this opportunity to learn more. If you are an expert, you will also like the opportunity to meet fellow parrot experts, parrot newbies and wannabes. The topic will cover on parrot grooming, food, behaviour, sickness and maybe even breeding. As this is a FOC workshop and Song Bird Centre will be sponsoring the door gifts. What I can said is this is a great chance to attend this workshop as Colonel Rupert Gwee is a rather busy man and he's footing his precious time to lead this event. He will also be displaying some of his personal collection of parrots. His knowledge and "hands on" experience in this field is very well received and is invited to Austraila to give a parrot talk early next week. I also believe this is the first time such a workshop is held in Singapore.
Of course "sick" birds are not easy to detect but we are taking some special precaution on that day and Colonel Gwee will personally see to that. By the way another reputated parrot breeder Jimmy Chow will also attend this workshop.

whole idea of the workshop is to impart the knowledge of bird keeping to as many people as possible. i have been to the venue personally and it is a fairly quiet place. if the workshop actually draw attention from the passer bys, it's a good thing as more people will be able to share knowledge and appreciate parrot keeping more.

this workshop's secondary objective is to promote the hobby afterall.

This is selected by Colonel Rupert Gwee and I believe he has his objective.
