German Sheppard Tatto

Bro Kitsilano,
I have a question for you regarding the rehomed GSD I spoke about on the other thread. He's got a Tatto "KAR213" on one ear and the other a symbol of a "x" in a circle. Do you know what it refers to? Probably the breeder??
Thanks in advance.

May I ?..LOL

Bro yes you are spot on man !.

Normaly breeders tattoo the dogs or micro chip them to ensure proper breeding. In any case they normaly don't tattoo just any dog. I think, and I think I am pretty sure here that the GS in mention is of a good breed line.

The other mark is a Breeders Mark, and most imported GS and DS have that.

Bro Dogcom....cannot be Singapore bred as all SKC registered locally bred GSD are tattooed with a five digit numerical number followed by the year. Now latest is no more tattooing(I just found out a month ago when I went to help select two GSD puppies for a friend)...all microchip.

How is the conformation of this dog...care to post picture...maybe can stir up some old fire in me and I will find out the background in detail for you. My feel is that it is an Australian import.

Regards

Kitsilano

Only SKC registers GS's in Singapore with proof of breed.

One it is not a Local Breed.

Two since it is a re-homed GS, the first owner would be able to provide the breeder's Name and Insignia.

Bro Kitsilano,
No more conformation lah. It has been fixed. As a person without the show ring background I would still say this GSD looks good. I'll take some shots and post for you expert opinion.

(oei...I am not gay)
Anyway you brought up some very good points. If the breeder is willing to spend x-tra money tattooing/microchip the dog, it only goes to show that the dog is bred under some kind of GSD Club which I suspect is Australian.

Regards

Kitsilano
