My african pygmy hedgehog

Hello everyone! My newest member to my animal family is Sparky, a 3 month old salt and pepper hedgehog. So here are some pictures of him I'd like to share.

Hun,
that's a very sweet fella.

Maybe you would like to share with us what it's diet.

Hi Silvanus

Sure, no problem.

The funny thing bout hedgehogs.. they eat about anything! They love insects like crickets, beetles, mealworms, earthworms, snails and small frogs(if they are wild hedgehogs).

Those as pets normally indulge in a diet of holistic premium catfood, best brands are Felidae, Inova Evo, Evolve, Natural Balance and chicken soup for the petlovers soul. Will continue bout this under the diet thread hehhe...

Hi David,

Hedgehogs pretty easy to play and care for. They love toys, those baby save bright colour plastic toy cars and trucks, must be big so they can't chew and swallow any parts. Also, they are nocturnal, active mainly at night so good for those who have no time for play during the day. Hedgies sleep during the day hehhe...

Thay don't cook, wish they could hahaha.... but the poop a lot

Yah, I realize exotics are illegal to keep rite? So far malaysia haven't come up with that rule. Can get exotics anywhere and the price is high. The breeder I bought my hedgehog from was even selling all sorts of snakes and marmosets.

Sometimes with all the rules and regulations and inflated prices....

I wonder why I don't go and just move, sell everything here and buy a farm in aussie and run a Prata and Sui KAU AND WAN TON mee stall out of my window.

I might have a chance at getting it rich and actually get to keep the animals I so dearly love.

Why oh ! why did I fall in love with my home land .....LOL.
