Bro Simon,
U r a Aro specialist ...u know in SELECTION, BUYING, GROOMING n BREEDING its ALL ABT QUALITY, QUALITY & QUALITY : : .
To quote Mr.Kan...which I remember this day...when I bought my 1st aro from him....he said..."do it yourself Era" if u can select shamas and MJs - all other living creatures r the same...THEY HAVE THAT LOOK n CHARACTER...on that day...I learnt something very valuable what it means to in tune with nature.
So if u look at Andrew..he's also always having the best..I mean the best n he doesn't have to burn a hole ( BUT still he pays good money to get good genes) to get it bec he know how to to select what other considers "rejects" or "no-potential" from a young age or even in juvenile ....I 1st notice it in his aros selection & wat he kept a hobby n in aro comp as well.
Now its showing in his Shama comp BUT that is after he has made a name for himself in MJ n MP contest as champions too.
So my fren..you r in good hands with us and when u wanna breed shamas...u got 3 of us here who've BEEN der n DONE that.
Take care and good night.
Era

Indeed as you have succeeded in shama breeding, its another stage of achievement that many bird keeper would hope to experience.
Like what's said earlier ,breeding it may not be that difficult(if i'm not wrong). But breeding them with careful selection on its parentage genes in terms of characteristic , quality of the bird may be different and i guess you have done your homework before putting this task ahead.
Congrats to you. By the way ,this baby taimong is a male or female ?
Hope one day i could come to you for further advise on the shama breeding procedure and also learn from fellow sifu(s) and members here as well.
Needless to say , 3 cheers to you again....
