I never have problem taming even WILD parrots. I suppose getting a young chick and spending a lot of time bonding helps. My experience is not that mature bird are more prone to aggressiveness if they are a lone bird but when they have a mate then the behaviour may be more pronounced.

I know people with Quaker and Conure, even Love Bird and Budgies that appear very loving.
