Dear friends, we found Lego yesterday, 6 days after he was lost. He was 3km from my parent's place. My brother spotted it and called me; I flew down from shenton way, and literally pulled the now exhausted and frail bird from the tree. We are now nursing Lego at home.
I am completely beyond myself. It is a miracle amongst miracles. What are the odds that a domesticated pet could survive 6 days against the elements, the stray cats, the occasional greedy and opportunistic human, and the lack of food/ water? what are the odds that it was found not anywhere else within that 3km radius but right outside the window of the gym my brother frequents, on a day he usually isn't there, accompanied by a fren who could recognize it was a grey because my brother wouldn't have? What are the odds that in that excruciatingly- long 30 min drive from my office that it didn't get spooked by the growing crowd and fly away? I call it providence, God just stopped short of gift wrapping Lego and leaving him at my gate.
Whilst Lego was very weak and tired yesterday, he is a lot better this morning. He has graduated from glucose water and soft foods to his favorite sun flower seeds. It's still a critical period for him in his road to recovery and I ask for your prayers.
Thank you to all who lent your help, support and encouragement during this difficult period. It is very much appreciated.
