If you have been constantly playing with it. No worries on him being too bored and pluck his feathers.
As for your eyes issue, we human also do not have equal sized hand/eyes so it shouldn't be a problem to a bird too.
About the chirping problem, greys are the quietest among all parrots but as long as you do heard him chirp before then everything is alright (he wont be a mute.. lol...).
Relax yourself bro, you are stressing yourself too much and expecting too much from your grey. Give the little fellow some time he'll turned better...
