Topview Ranchu Competition - 4 February 2007

Thank you very much Geert for your kind comments. I surely have a lot more pictures to show. I am not even to the half way point yet, I don't think.

I also agree with Geert that the overall quality of the ranchu in Thailand has improved ten folds since I started my former farm. The ranchu circle has certainly expanded and there are a lot more local breeders specializing in ranchu now. This past year our friend Mr.Jatupon (student of Mr.Kashino) managed to be in the top five of the Nisai class at the Okayama Show, and no.50 something for the AJRS. I believe that it is the first time that any Thai breeder has been endowed with such honour. It gives me great joy to hear and also make me work harder to may be realize that dream myself one day as well. At this past show I have seen so many beautiful fish that are bred in Thailand that are of the same quality as those imported pieces from Japan as seen by the Japanese Society's judges.

Any way, I will now continue with the presentation of the Show. I will continue where I left off yesterday by presenting you the entries for the Junior Classification.

In my humble opinion, the Junior class entries were quite fierce as well. The overall quality of the entries were truly amazing. From the best fish to the last fish, the quality were quite competitive which signifies the overall breeding ability and capacity of the local breeders.
