Using Green Water
Hi Everyone,
It's been a long long time since I last raised a goldfish and lately, my interest was stirred up after seeing all the really nice TVR and SVR. Would definitely not consider myself someone who's new to this hobby as I started out with guppies and platies back when I was a kid. Anyway, there's much discussion over the topic of using green water here in Malaysia and I am wondering if it's truly necessary. The highlighted benefits are better shape, colour and scale formation. If it is, what other alternatives can a hobbyist use to obtain the same results ? Correct me if I am wrong, but I know for a fact that Japanese use them during winter seasons only and concentrate on the rest of the remaining year raising their ranchus in clear water. Would like to get some good answers soon, especially from Mr.Pat as I have been reading a lot of his wonderful threads. However, I notice there're hardly any new postings of late, so I thought I could get things running again. Aside to Mr.Pat, Good day to you ! I have sent you a PM with rgds to your farm bred Ranchus. Hope to get in touch with you soon. Many thanks Cheers chris |
