Boarding for Doggies
Hi all.
My sister will be getting married in early December - 3rd to be exact. After wedding...a few days later we'll be heading to Malaysia for wedding dinner (for Malaysian relatives who cant come to Singapore) So...I'll need recommendations for boarding places for my darling Chilli. She's very barky when she's away from me so I'll need to find a place where the boarders will be understanding and not boink her on the head and give her a concussion. Know of any?? Thinkg of booking it soon cause holidays coming. Skali holidays many people go holidays and boarding place fully booked |

Hi all!
Wow...time really flies. My sister's now married I did manage to look for a place for my dog. I was actually thinking of putting her up at The Pet Hotel. My cousin recommended me the place. But on my way out I met this lady and she recommended me another place just opposite it. It's called Mutts and Mittens. She said although she has 9 dogs at The Pet Hotel, she says Mutts and Mittens provides better care for the dogs. But they couldn't give her a discounted rate thus she didn't put her dogs with them. I did visit The Pet Hotel to check out the place...very professional, my dog wasn't allowed into the boarding area as she's not "bathed" yet. I did get a peek at the boarding area. Not too bad, the dogs have their own living quaters and a back yard. But very noisy...smell none. I didn't get to check out Mutts and Mittens, a check for the website drew a blank. (The Pet Hotel had one) I only found out that the owner is very kind and it's also an animal shelter from posts in other websites. I called the owner : Cohen, very nice man. Actually advised that I go down to his place and have a look before deciding. But I was running out of time and my weekends were packed so couldn't really go down. Decided to take my chances, and made a booking with them. Brought Chilli (my JRT) there on the 2nd Dec. Checking in "lobby" had a few dogs there. One of the dog became possessive of me and didn't allow Chilli near me. Kinda hillarious. Chilli's room was clean, she didn't have a neighbour so she had the "shared" backyard to herself. Barked when I left the place. But when I collected her on the 5th, she was having fun in the lobby with other dogs. Didn't even realised I stepped into the lobby until I whistled. Glad she could mix with other dogs...she never really did although I bring her out quite often to meet other dogs. She always shy away from them but I guess this place did it. Cohen said she didn't mix much on first day only. Price...same as The Pet Hotel. But I like Mutts and Mittens staff better. So I highly recommend the place. They do need volunteers for dog walking. So if you have the time, go check out the place. Last edited by Ting Ting : 13-Dec-2005 at 03:02 PM. |
