cockatiels mate

Today (sat) 7.37am I saw my albino female and normal white face cockatiels mate and I wonder when will she going to lay eggs anyone here know ???
and wat colour baby can i get ...can i get pearl pied white face cockatiels like the pic below ...??

unless ur albino has pearl and pied genes, all babies will be normal white face greys.

Huh...all normal grey not even a white face pied ??? How come like that....

unless your albino actually has pied + white face genes or pearl + white face genes, your chicks will end up as standard white face greys. IF your albino do not have any white faced genes, then most likely you will end up std grey without being a white face.

sorry Just wanna to know wat u mean by albino do not have any white faced genes??? but albino is already a whiteface just like lutino but the face only white...hummm a bit confuse

Basically, there are 2 types of albinos, 1 is call the red eyed white, which consists of both white face gene and lutino gene. Both genes show themselves on the same bird, you will get a red eye white.

Lutino gene removes the grey pigments of the bird, therefore you get a bird without grey, only yellow and red eyes, the lutino.

White face gene whereas removes the yellow/red pigments of the bird, therefore you get a bird without any yellow and red on the body, the white face.

True albinos occur when both parents of the clutch carry albino genes(recessive). The parents may appear normal as their albino don't show when they are only carriers. However, when both of these birds mate, 2 of the albino gene will be inherited by the young. This will will result in a true albino.

oook..mine the albino parent is both albino...they had 2 baby albino one is mine that is the albino female and the other is with my aunt albino male..both of them have red eyes...so are they true albino ???

whole clutch only 2 chicks ? it's hard to determine a bird's genetics by 1 clutch.
