Help to identify Chinchilla's Colour

Hey guys. Anyway I've been wondering about the colour of my male Chinchilla, Adam. He was adopted 6months+ ago, and I need help to identify the colour of the Chinchilla. According to the owner, the sire is a silver/white mosaic and the dam is a afro violet. I was told then that he was a std grey. I'm suspecting he's a Violet boy. Anyone can help me comfirm? here's some pictures.

Violet is a recessive gene. To get a violet, both parent must have violet genes.

Your boy is a std grey or std grey violet carrier.

the brownish colour on the underbelly could be stains. the fur on the underbelly, the starting part of the fur strands are silverish grey... Gonna try to use baking soda to remove it. anyway.. he looks alot like the Silver white chinchilla in this photo... http://www.petsfanatics.com/gallery...ge.php?i=611&c=
